Pet Advocacy Grants
Reaching Out To The Pet Community
The Family-Pet bond is a wonderful thing. It grows unconditionally, knows no bounds, and can be found in every community across the country. For those reasons, we help support organizations that, in turn, help support Pets and the people who love them. Twice each year, we award funds to Pet charities all across the nation. With your help, we'd like to provide even more. We invite you to become part of our mission of giving back, giving hope, and giving support.
Pets are part of the community.
Your generous, tax-deductible donation will make it possible to help organizations that help Pets in your area and across the country. Give today online, email info@banfieldcharitabletrust.org, call 503-922-5801, or stop by any Banfield, The Pet Hospital® location.
Are you a charitable organization that needs some support?
Our selection process limits whom we support to those that provide preventive healthcare for Pets, childhood education about Pet care and responsibility, as well as specialized Pet projects. We do not fund more than 50% of an entire project, as we expect to be one of many funding sources.
We fund two grant cycles each year. All applications for the first cycle must be received by June 30. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in August. For the second cycle, all applications must be received by November 30. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in January.
The Banfield Charitable Trust does not fund:
- Spay and neuter or adoption programs
- General operating expenses, deficit reduction, or general administrative overhead expenses
- Fundraising campaigns, including special events
- Grants to individuals, or to provide support for business enterprise
- Equine or livestock programs
- International programs
- Construction costs for new buildings or remodeling proposals

Kathy Grosch (Therapy Pet Pals of Texas, Inc.):
"Pet Pal Tales is a vital source for educating the general public about the benefits to be derived from Pet therapy. Funding this valuable resource has been a true blessing, enabling us to spread our story to more potential volunteers and our services to more ill and elderly people in the community. Thank you so much for helping us extend and achieve our mission."
